Green Awareness Certification Program

GreenMech, in conjunction with founding members HVAC Excellence, Ferris State University, and United Association (UA), has developed the Green Awareness Certification Program. This 2-day certification course addresses high performance mechanical systems in buildings, and covers Green mechanical terminology, concepts, products and systems. The Green Awareness Program is excellent for HVAC technicians, facilities maintenance personnel, plumbers, electricians, energy managers, service contractors, boiler contractors, general contractors, and students. Ferris State University and HVAC Excellence grant certification jointly.

Combustion Analysis, Fuel Efficiency & Carbon Monoxide Safety

This green course is designed to educate individuals on the essential information required to train on achieving higher fuel efficiencies, better system performance, and reduced greenhouse gas emissions, by performing and understanding combustion analysis. It is necessary to perform a Combustion Analysis on all combustion systems to insure safe operation at peak efficiency.

Carbon Monoxide A Clear and Present Danger

Improper setting of a combustion system can produce hazardous levels of Carbon monoxide. CO safety training is imperative for personal safety in both residential and commercial settings.

Universal R-410A Safety & Training

This book was developed to provide field service personnel with the necessary training and practical knowledge to safely perform service on systems containing R-410A and R-407C. In addition, this manual includes information on: the R-22 phase-out, appropriate refrigerant and oil applications, service techniques, as well as safe handling of R-410A.
